Miracles

I recently came upon a quote by Albert Einstein which made me think about life and our perception of it on an every day basis.

"There are two ways to live your life - one is as though nothing is a miracle, the other is as though everything is a miracle."

After reading this quote it made me reflect on my past and how I had taken a lot of seemingly insignficant events for granted. When people say its the little things in life that mean the most I realized that a lot of the time it was the little things that I had done or that had happened to me which in hindsight were the most significant. Better yet, behind every big event and major decision I found that there was a tiny miracle that had happened which had been the final catalyst in making that huge decision. When you conciously look at the environment around you as if everything that occured could be a miracle its hard not to smile and find meaning in otherwise insignificant occurances. If for no other reason it will make your day very interesting and enjoyable I encourage everyone to give it a try!

Now is When in 2010!

I attend First Unity church in St. Pete and am very inspired by the words of wisdom I hear every Sunday.  Many writers and speakers talk about being in the now.  Each week I bring my sketch book to take notes and it evolved into images and depictions of those around me and impressions of the day.  Drawing connects me deeper to the words I am hearing and engages me on a higher level.  Drawing during the service becomes a sort of meditation in motion.  I am fully in the now while drawing my experiences at Unity.  To close my eyes would shut me out from this lovely colorful world I see.  Art is my spiritual connection.  My art is a mirror back to the reality I experience and share with other people.

Thank you for joining!
