“Painting is just another way of keeping a diary,” said Pablo Picasso. The canvas is my journal in which I paint my thoughts on life and my environment, ideas, emotions, and observation of others and myself. I am not interested in recreating what the human eye can see just by "looking." I strive to bring forth both my subconscious and conscious emotions and my perceptions in a visual form, primarily through oil painting.
Ashley was born and raised in Florida. She has a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Southern Methodist University in Dallas, TX. She enjoyed teaching elementary art in Dallas for 3 years, is an accomplished classical/opera singer and loves dancing (modern/ballet). In addition to working full time, Ashley is attending graduate school for counseling and is a freelance artist living in St. Petersburg, FL.

Born November 17th, 1981 in Paris, Tx. Matt's family moved to Bradenton, Fl. in 1986, where he grew up. Matt currently resides in downtown St. Pete, moving from Holmes Beach in 2008. The day he could pick up a pencil he started drawing. Besides some high school art classes, Matt is self taught. Starting out painting murals, then canvas, oils to acrylics, he recently made the switch to digital (reluctantly). "Even the Beatles are going electric". Matt has also enjoyed playing guitar for10 years. He works professionally as a firefighter, with over 5 years of service.

The paintings are very much part of my spiritual journey, blending of beliefs, self-reflections and transformations. In many ways they are answers that continue to unfold about questions that I feel but don't quite know how to ask or even fully understand yet.
As with everyone, I have my own unique life journey and struggle coming to terms with myself, my beliefs and what's in my heart. While these paintings are very personal and meaningful to me, in some cases they seem to connect something unique & personal in others as well. Introduced to art as a child thru my mother, a trained commercial artist, but spent most of my career in a technical capacity for various engineering and telecommunication companies.
